¡Confirmado!: Resinlab Models estará presente como expositor las FREAK WARS (15 y 16 de Septiembre, Madrid). Se trata de un evento especializado en los
Wargames cuya popularidad ha ido creciendo en los últimos años. Enhorabuena a
la organización.
.... y nueva imagen de marca!!!
Estoy trabajando por mejorar la marca, dar más proyección al taller de
maquetas y lanzar novedades. El primer paso ha sido encargar el logotipo de
Resinlab Models a un diseñador muy especial. El autor es Sergi Sánchez (BARBARROC). En la actualidad este nombre quizás no
suene mucho pero es el resultado de la mala memoria que tiene un hobby
sólo centrado en las novedades. En la actualidad realizar miniaturas es
relativamente sencillo (modelado digital, impresoras asequibles, casters a
patadas, PayPal, etc...) pero hubo un momento que no lo fue.
Si creamos una lista de pioneros del hobby nacional Sergi Sánchez sería
uno de ellos. A comienzos de los años 90 Sergi inundo las tiendas de
toda España con la serie Los siete
pecados capitales y fue autor de otras muchas miniaturas basadas en
personajes de cómic y la saga Fanhunter.
Yo era un niño cuando Sergi lanzó sus primeras miniaturas al mercado. Tras
comprar su primera serie comencé a modelar imitando su particular estilo. 20
años más tarde tuve el placer de conocer a Sergi y comenzar a colaborar en
muchos proyectos juntos
Actualmente Sergi es un prolífico diseñador gráfico y placa sus ansias
escultóricas creando los trofeos de DEVIR IBERIA. Vive felizmente en un adorable
pueblecito de Girona junto a su mujer y dos hijos.

Confirmed!!!: Resinlab Models will be an exhibitor at FREAK WARS (Madris, September 15th-16th). It
is a Wargames specialized event, increasingly popular during the last years. So,
I must congrat the organizers.
…And new brand design!!!
I’m working hard to improve our brand, to make better known the models
workshop and to launch novelties. The first step has been to order the new
Resinlab Models Brand design to a very special designer: Sergi Sánchez (BARBARROC). Probably you don’t hear any bells
when you hear his name, but this is the unconvenience of enjoying of a hobby
too much centered in novelties. Nowadays it is relatively easy to make scale
models, while we can model digitally, printers are becoming more and more
affordable, it exists PayPal, etc.
But there was a time when that was not so easy. If we collect the names of
Spanish fantasy hobby pioneers, Sergi Sánchez would be included in the list. At the
early 90s Spanish shops was literally overfloaded with Sanchez’ The Seven Capital Sins figurines, and he created many other
sculptures base on comic book characters and from the Fanhunter saga.
I was just a kid when Sergi Sánchez launched his first figurines. After
purchasing his first series I started to make my own models imitating his
peculiar style. Twenty years later I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him and
start to cooperate at several projects.
Currently Sergi is a prolific graphic designer and he satisfaces his wish
for sculpting by creating the trophies of DEVIR IBERIA. He lives happily at an
beautiful village of Girona alongside his wife and two children.
Criaturas de leyenda: Models manofactuted in Spain around 90s by Sergi. Cast in polyester resin with marble powder. They are heavy, around 60 mm of height, in one piece but with a very special charm... and Sergi (on the right) and me in the Internacional Saló del Cómic of Barcelona.
